2027 Peregrine 80 Ski w/ Binding
The 2027 Volkl Peregrine 80 is characterized by its easy accessibility that will appeal to a broad target group.
This model is fun to ski in all snow conditions and is ideal for skiers looking for a balanced skiing experience. Inspired by its predecessor, the Deacon 80, the Peregrine 80 also has a Titanal band, which runs along the center of the ski from tip to tail which maintains overall stiffness while minimizing weight. The Titanal ensures a reliable and stable ride quality that allows skiers to enjoy a balanced mix of smoothness and liveliness. The use of Tailored Carbon Tips, also used on the Peregrine 82, ensures agility with less effort.
Thanks to the Lowride Integrated Binding System, which is optionally available with the TCX heel, getting in and out of the binding is comfortable and effortless. This makes the model particularly suitable for smaller skiers or those returning from an injury looking for a smooth and playful skiing experience. The Peregrine 80 is easy to handle, especially forgiving, and requires less effort for full all-mountain fun.
TECHNOLOGY
- Tailored Carbon Tips- In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the stress lines, opening up completely new possibilities, for performance at the front of the ski, which has a decisive influence on the handling of the ski. The stiffness, torsion and thus the skiing characteristics can be specifically adjusted via the fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment. In this way, the fibers guide the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile shovel reaction with less effort and quickly build up energy. The Tailored Carbon Tips thus reach a new level of precision, direct tip response and active skiing pleasure.
- Multilayer Woodcore -Ā A combination of lighter, softer poplar wood and heavier, stronger beech wood provides a target group specific combination between light weight, strength, durability and damping: The beech typically concentrates where the most power is needed in the ski - like under the binding or alongside the edges and sidwalls.
- Titanal BandĀ -Ā Sportive material layup for high dampening and reliability on Freeride skis to also keep relatively light weight.
- Base: P-Tex 4504 - A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on our top of the line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.
- Full Sidewall ABS -Ā ABS is a durable and resilient plastic known for its strength and impact resistance. It offers high resistance to shocks and impacts, making the ski more robust and long-lasting. These sidewalls allow for precise power transfer from the skier to the edges of the ski.
- Base structure: Zebra structure - Engineered for ultimate on-piste precision, Zebra Structure features a deep, high-definition base pattern tailored to narrower, system-mounted skis. This aggressive structure delivers lightning-fast, reliable turn initiation and smooth, controlled drifting for maximum carving performance.
- 3D Radius SidecutĀ - Three radii in one ski for maximum turning and speed versatility in all mountain skiing long tip and tailĀ radius. Usage of long radii at tip and tail for big turns and high speed, easy steering and maneuverability, disruption resistant at the tip, no radius limitation and ease of turn exit tight centre radius. Usage of shorter radius in the center for short turns and lower speed, extremely easy to initiate short turns, strikingly agile, effortless and smooth in short turns
